How to Repair Scratch in Rear Bumper

I have a few small scratches in the rear bumper that are just deep enough to penetrate the paint, leaving the black plastic visible underneath (car color is diamond graphite). Is there a good do-it-yourself solution, or do I need to go to a body shop? If so, any body shop recommendations in the Newburyport, MA area?

If its thin, I would fill it in with a paint-pen, then after its good and dry buff it smooth with a scratch-x.
