I want to get crystal guard but money is an issue and here's what i want to know.

Do I have to drop the $15 to get a microfiber cloth? Can I just apply this stuff with a brand new $1 terry cotton cloth?

 

You'll want some nice microfiber cloths for your car anyway... wash and reuse. I'm not a huge fan of terry cloth, as it tends to leave little while tidbits behind and doesn't act nearly as absorbent. If you're buying a 30K+ car and a $30 bottle of CG, don't go cheap on the cloth-- that's the one thing that will make the previous two look like crap [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img] Just my opinion, but that's the one link in the chain that I don't mess with.

you can get 3 MF cloths for $6 at your local retailer such as Kmart, Meijers, etc. its made by TurtleWax brand.

At Kragen Auto I got bought two sets of four microfiber cloths for $15. I use three to wash and dry the car, and keep the fourth inside for dust & touch-up patrol.
