Re: Touch-Up Paint
Was there a pic?
I definitely liked the old-style touch-up paints. I've not seen the newer ones yet... What process do you go through to do little touch-up jobs?

Hey dudes, Had another brain fart and forgot the pic. It's there now, but you aren't missing much. It's freakin' junk.
I'm glad to hear there's an alternative. (from Grubbs)
Geo-- not sure of how to use the thing, I could never get it to work properly. You're supposed to dab it on and push to make the paint come thru. Rambo says this is new tech. HA, I'd say it's more like wishful thinking. Don't waste you dough on this POS. I'm gonna get some from Grubbs online. Thanks for the tip RR.

Re: Touch-Up Paint
Hi all, I'm not sure if someone's brought this up b4, but my Q concerns Nissan/Infiniti touch-up paint.
Is it me or is this so called touch up paint all but useless?
Here in Canada all we can get is this double ended tube of paint & clear-coat. See attachment. The idea may be good, but the function (for me) sucks big time.
The penny does double duty here: It shows relative size since you may not recognize the tube, and it also shows what change I got from $20.00!!!!!!
Is it packaged differently in the U.S.? This tube has a felt type tip and has to be pushed to produce the paint. I much prefer the old nail polish type bottle with a little brush. (and as I remember, that was about $5.00)
I'm hoping one of you has come up with a better way (or product)...If not I'll look around for an applicator I like and get their closest colour.
in advance.

Re: Touch-Up Paint
Well, hopefully touch-ups are very small. I have the black Infinity touch up bottle ($8) but haven't used it yet. It comes with a brush attached to the bottlecap, but the brush is quite large.
For touching up any car, I always use a 000 or 00 modeling brush and dab it on in very light coats, allowing each one to dry completely. When the touched-up paint surface is close or even with the factory surface (and dry), I use several coats of 3M hand-glaze and I'm done. It looks pretty darn good and none of my touch-ups have popped out (yet anyway).

Re: Touch-Up Paint
Shader7, Those touch up bottles aren't available up here in Canada, so I ordered online at www.grubbs.com in Texas and will receive within a week.
I'll try the model brushes with the new paint. That will be 100x better than this ridiculous tube. Thanks
