Anodized is a protective layer thats on metals mostly Aluminum.. Is that what you are talking about? Or do you mean there is a something corrosive on the wheels? If thats the case let me know I know how to polish metal pretty good. Do you have any pic's?

First of all, great looking wheels. Judging by the age, I would not think they would need to be polished in the strict definition of the word. I would take a chemical polish to them to remove any residue or other gunk that may be present. Klasse AIO or Werkstatt Prime are two good chemical polishes. Neither contains any substantial abrasives that could marr the lip. After that, I would take some Wheel Wax (www.wheelwax.com) or Wheel Sealant (www.poorboysworld.com) to them to keep the brake dust from getting embedded. I would suggest applying and removing all of these products with a microfiber cloth. When using the cloth, be sure to mark it so that you do not EVER use that cloth on the paint as you will never get all of the brake dust out of it.

As for general cleaning, once sealed it will be pretty easy. I find that a spray bottle with water is useful to spritz the wheel and mobilize some of the brake dust. After that, I wipe it with a wet MF and dry with a second MF. Use little to no pressure to avoid marring.

Best of luck with those great wheels...

Im going to let someone else chime in. I know how to polish them to get them to look brand new. But it would be a process. Maybe someone else can help you that knows of a 1 or 2 step process that will clean then polish. I have never had this problem so I dont realy have any experiance with this.

If nobody knows I can help with the process I know that works.
