Leather Steering Wheel Care

Question? I've been cleaning my leather seats about every 4 months, but I have only cleaned and treated my steering wheel once...My concern is that the leather will get too soft or stretch and than be loose.

Do you experts out there think that this is a problem? or do you just do the steering wheel along with the rest of the interior. I do know that it does get a lot of UV rays from the sun so it would probably dry out and crack.

It won't get loose or get soft or anything crazy. Clean/treat/care for it like you do your seats. I have 10+ years experience with leather steering wheels. You will be good.

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on the ENTIRE interior. Leather steering wheel, shift ****, console, plastic, seats, etc. Satin finish, not glossy, doesn't attract dust, just a good AIO interior product.

+1

I really like Zymol cleaner and conditioner, especially the conditioner. Put it on when the weather is warm, and leave it on for a while with the car in the sun - the leather in my Max is much softer now.

The G starts out that way...

Same here. My friend told me about it. Great stuff. Use it on the interior of the G and my Explorer and use it on all the plastic exterior trim on my Explorer. The stuff is amazing and it lasts forever.

I've been using Zaino z9/z10 on the steering wheel for over 2 years and it still feels great. I actually clean and condition the steering wheel once a month...no worries.
