just got quoted

i just got my car from body shop
they tell me i cant wax my car for 90days
they said 'paint needed to be settle and it will take times'
what do you guys think

yeah this is true.. most new cars, u gotta wait the 1st month to wash it

Just had my bumper and hood redone from stone chips. I wanted to put on a clear bra also, but they said I had to wait 60 days to let the paint harden. Just got it done, and not too impressed with the install.

It's no so much "settling" as the VOCs have to burn off. Had they baked it you wouldn't need to wait, but they obviously didn't (or couldn't bake it hot enough), so the gases need to burn off. Don't sweat it, the lack of wax won't hurt it and you can still wash it as normal.
