are the voltmeter and tranny both smoked gauges? what color do they light up?

they are smoked when not lit up, yes.
The Nexus can change color. I had them set to amber to match the stock gauges. Sometimes I'd have em on as white too. They can go to red, purple, green, yellow as well.
