I've done a little research, and i like the black mcgard spline drives with the locks, anybody have a recommendation on where to pick them up? I saw them at Summit racing, but they were cheaper at Lugshack (but out of stock), thanks

I've got a set of Gold Mcgard lugs you can buy.. Brand new. Only problem was that I couldn't get them to fit on my wheels because they are too shallow.

I use the Volk Formula lugs.... A few comments....

First, you can get them for $200 brand new. I paid that for them shipped from A-Spec last year (who was a vendor on my350z.com).

Secondly, they are very secure, but as Will mentioned, if someone wants your wheels bad enough, they will get them (well, short of welding your wheels to the hubs).

Lastly, there are mixed reviews on these. Some people don't like them, and think the plastic key for the center piece breaks too easily while others just think they are overpriced. The center key is just a metric allen wrench, and easy to replace. As mentioned, it is nice that the adapter goes in the center and prevents any type of damage to the wheels. They are also really easy to get on/off, and are less likely to cross thread than most other lugs I have used. I personally like them a lot, and have had no issues. I take them on/off all the time (especially recently), and there have been no issues and not a single scratch around the lugs....

Got the wheels last night, the space around the lugs is actually greater than my current wheels, so my old set of locks will work on it as a temporary measure, I do think I want black, thanks for the offer platelock, but my car is black, wheels are silver...

Took off the old wheels to find my old lugs were actually gorilla, and my lock from my previous wheels were Mcgard! I went ahead and ordered black Mcgard lugs, and will be changing them out shortly
