WTB: Lug Nuts

Hey,

Picking up a new set of wheels this week, was wanting to see if anybody had an extra set of lugnuts laying around they wanted to get rid of. They will need to be thin (require a thin wall socket), and have some sort of theft prevention. Let me know what you have!

I have a nice set of Volk Formula lugs. Perfect because the key goes inside the lugs, not around so no risk at all of damaging the wheels. Plus instead of one lug nut per wheel that offers security, you get 5 per wheel.

They sell for 400 new, I will give them to you for 200 shipped with an extra key (30 dollars).

Discount Tire sells tuner style lug nuts, but the key is super common and easily attainable.

I personally go with McGard spline drive lugnuts with key. You can order them from Summit Racing for a little less than $100/set.

And no matter how many precautions you take, if a thief wants it, he'll have it. Weather it be with a set of keys or towing your whole car away.

^^^ Very true. You could be crazy. Local guy had gorilla locks and his wheels got stolen. He replaced them with insurance and bough 5 different lock sets and put one on each rim. Looks like *** but I promise you it will **** off any theif to the point of him giving up.

With the Volk ones posted above, it appears that you have to remove a small inner screw first, and then a second piece to get a single lug off, i could see how it would slow a thief down a little, but the removal tools are very common unfortunately

^^ The allen wrench to remove the insert yes. But I have not ever seen 7 sided heptagonal shape inverted lugs at any hardware store.

wow, didn't realize they were 7-sided, those could definitely do the trick.
