If you both are moving to the area area I highly suggest the Las Colinas/Valley Ranch areas. I've lived here the last 5 years and absolutely love it. Everything is convenient. Within 2 square miles you have fast food/retail/supermarkets/etc...It's a great area, give it a look around when finding a place to live. You'll like it.

Irving/Las Colinas
Hey guys, I used to live in Irving as well and loved it...can't wait to move back..you are pretty much smack in the middle of Dallas/Ft Worth so a drive to either place wont' kill you.
I'd recommend looking around 114/635 areas. Also, they are building new apts. off of Luna/635 and also there some more new apts called Mission at la Villita (Royal/Luna). www.riverstoneres.com
Hope everyone can make it out to a meet. Our group has dwindled and we need to get it back up to speed. We blamed the cold weather..so let's not blame the hot weather...it's TX...

dude, I am moving this weekend. a couple months ago I looked at 13 aprtments in the area in 2 days!!!!! There are soo many to name out here. But the best experience I had was at "The Lexington at Valley Ranch". I'm moving to a complex named "Dakote Hill" mainly because its right off the freeway and off and on access is great. If you want the more loft/urban lifestyle you can check out "Cabochon at Las Colinas" or "Tuscan Villas" Or even the ones off of Luna and 635, but they are pricey. They are called "Lincoln" something...I can't remember the full name. I'm not into lofts so i like the apt setting. But give those places a try and see if it fits you.

Make sure you check the cost of insuring your car before you move to Las Colinas since it's in the Irving zip code and their insurance rates are much higher. I have a friend, who drives a 2004 Z, moved from Frisco to Las Colinas and his car insurance nearly doubled just because of the change in zip code.
