Back in the G full time

So for those in DFW don’t know I have been putting off mods to the G due to purchase of a motorcycle. Well tonight I was leaving work, going about 18 mhp in the front of the parking lot when a car shot out of a row of cars. He missed me but my tries were cold and when I hit the brakes, I went down and slid about 20 feet, and came to halt when i hit a curb. Good new is I am fine, but the bike landed on my leg and my calf is about the size my thigh, and I am missing a huge chunk of my palm. Then the guy who was driving the car started yelling crap at me, and drove off. 3 of my employees saw this and 2 came over to get the bike off of me and one went to his car to chase him down, but we did not catch him. So if you see someone in fort worth driving a dark blue Tahoe on what looked like 23, do me a favor, follow him and when he gets out of the car, give him a swift kick in the junk... and what went through my mind when I was on the ground sliding...
2 things…..glad it was going slow, and should have gone FI instead of buying the bike
Thank You
Chris

sorry to hear that man. just got my bike a month ago and i hope nothing like this happens to me. i'm glad you are alright. you have that to be thankful for. hope you can get back on the bike someday but take it easy for a while and stick to the G. in the meantime i'll keep a lookout for the tahoe and i'll do more than kick him where it hurts...

Damn Chris, really glad to hear you're ok! I haven't talked about my experience with bikes around here because it makes me a little sad ... I have a pretty long history with bikes but don't ride any more.

I bought my first bike at age 18 and then upgraded a year later to a brand new Honda CBR 600. I did a lot of stupid things back then like racing and wheelies and stuff like that. I've had several of those "close calls" and each of them makes you want to give up riding altogether. I was in a really bad accident 13 years ago but it wasn't enough to keep me from riding. I took about 2 years off and then bought a Kaw ZX-11, the thing was insane. I didn't sell that until a little over a year ago but I didn't ride much anymore. My girlfriend (now wife) never liked bikes so she never rode with me and most of my riding friends weren't riding any more either so it was the logical decision.

I had a low-speed dump like you did but I was geared up with jacket and gloves so it hurt my ego more than anything else but it really makes you realize how dangerous it can be to ride, mostly because of other drivers.

Be safe bro

Jon

Hey Chris glad you are ok. Ill be sure to be on the look out for that Tahoe since im sure I will see around since I live in that area. Could you tell if it was a newer Tahoe or an older Tahoe; and was this the Best Buy on Bryant Irving road??
