hi, i need help quick. my cd player just quit on me today and i need to fix it before my trip to new olreans for christmas. can anyone help me with this? the cd player gives out a weird noise like it is trying to change the cd but it couldnt. and after a minute of this horrible noise it says there is an error of some sort.

 

huge probs in G's the only thing i can say is you have 2 options:

warranty: take it to the dealership but they will have to get you a new one
OR
no warranty: search around, someone did a DIY for getting a stuck CD out

have you tried holding in the eject button to get all the CD's out and then start from scratch?

 

common problem on G's...mine quit about a year ago. I use an Ipod now, so no worries. I may take it apart one day to realign whatever is out of whack in there.

 

got a quote from crest infiniti: 400+ to check and fix the cd player or 1000+ to get a new cd player. both options are too much i guess i have to do the ipod way.
