Hey All!!

My wife and I are moving to Dallas, should be there this weekend. We're living very much downtown. I'm originally from Indy and her from bama. I have been talking to a dealer about getting my g35x awd ordered.

The car will see both the strip and turns. Besides Ennis, where are all the good local tracks?

Welcome indynotch ... Motorsport Ranch in Cresson is your destination for twists and turns!

Check the events sub-forum, there's an event scheduled in April.

Wow, I didn't even know about that track! It looks like a challenging run!

Thanks for all the info guys. There is really only 1 autocross type track around Indy. They really only believe in turning left or going straigt, but damn they're good at it.

Most of the autocross events I have been to are nothing more than an open parking lot with a bunch of cones setup. I've never been to one that is specifically designated for autocross.

One of the members here - balaguru - does quite a few autocrosses each year but he doesn't post here much. He is a great resource for any upcoming events. Let's see if we can get him to chime in on the subject, I would like to do a few of these this year since it's not so brutal on the car like a track session...

Hey guys,

I've been lurking mostly. The autox scene is great here in the DFW area. Here's a link listing all the DFW autocrosses for 2008 with linkouts to the corresponding clubs: http://www.dfwmiata.com/component/op...cal/Itemid,66/

The season is about to start back up. I'll be doing only a few autoxes this year and then quitting for a few years starting in July. I have some video of the Mineral Wells and Texas Motor Speedway venues. The other venues, Pennington Field and La Grave aren't as nice but they're ok. I've never been to the TMS bus lot, another venue used by some clubs.
