Got rear ended- need body shop

So I got rear ended at a traffic light, thankfully wasn't bad, some paint damage and the bumper cover is ever so slightly bent, looks like it will easily pop out (I hope) and then some touch up paint will seal the deal.

Guy came out gave me all his info, insurance, cell number, apologized and said he'd like to take care of it out of pocket, depending on how expensive the repairs end up being. So.. Anyone know a decent shop that won't charge a whole bunch (guy was nice I don't wanna screw him over)? Preferably somewhere near lewisville/carrollton/coppell.

Damn bro ... you just got your ride done too right??

Make sure you don't let it ride out ... the worst thing about trying to be nice and help someone out by not reporting to their insurance is that you let it go for 6 months and then feel like an @ss asking for money to fix your car from the accident 6 months ago. Good luck!

Lol. I'm heading out to some body shops on my lunch hour today, to get some estimates. Yeah, I'm going to try hard to be nice, but not at the expense of my car not being fixed! I'm just glad it wasn't worse. As soon as it happened my first thought was 'You've got to be kidding me, I just got the car back on Friday!'

Good news is the car runs great!

Glad to hear the car is running good! Hope you dialed that boost down a little bit, that stock bottom end doesn't like double-digit psi numbers for too long

Try to post some pics and the total on the quotes so we have a frame of reference as to what it would cost if something like that happens to us.

I'm running on only 6 pounds of boost, 350rwhp with everything else stock (cats, exhaust etc.) So that should be pretty safe. The guy at the shop said he thinks we can easily get a reliable 400 - 450 rwhp with down pipes, exhaust, more boost and tuning.. but I am going to wait till I have enough money saved up for a motor build before doing that, just in case

The JWT kit has tons of torque and is super responsive, the turbos spool up in a blink of an eye, so I am very happy with it so far. (We'll see how long I last before turning up the boost)

I'll post up before and after pics and quotes for the repairs as well. So far I've received quotes from $600 down to $300

Yeah, I said it was minor

But it's still there if you look, on both sides of the license plate you can see damage, and in the final photo you'll notice it's also slightly bent inwards from the impact.

Not much damage at all, but enough for some $600 quotes!

All fixed! They repainted the bumper, and replaced two clips that had broken underneath the plastic cover. So all in all you are right moog, very little damage.

Here are the 'after' pics, and I got it done for $310 total.
