Ouch

Chevy Truck 1... G35 0

Well, the heat must have really gotten to me, cause I just wasn't paying attention very well and my poor baby paid the price.

Destroyed the driver side headlight, quarter panel is done, bumper looks very salvagable, hood is damaged.

In regards to the hood, I have three options...
1) replace hood
2) fix hood, but paint it to hide the repairs
3) just go back to OEM hood

Sadly, the most depressing part of it all is that the infiniti badge in my grill flew off! Gonna have to find another one to paint and put back once the car is back in action.

d@mn chris, that sucks! when was this? save $ for now and put your oem hood back on. as for headlights you can gamble and ofcourse check on ebay if you dont want to purchase both of them or order them from riverside.

if you need some temp headlights right now let me kno Chris..I have my extra set of 05 if you want to borrow them until you get everything fixed....they are D2r and I have the bulbs for them but you would have to transfer over your wiring and everything..I suggest go back to the Stock hood for right now...

Oh **** Chris... I am so sorry about your car. The most important thing, is that it is just a car and parts are replacable, you however, are not. Glad you're ok.

Yea, happened on the way to the DNE meet on 635 at the 75 interchange just before the bridge. Just wasn't paying attention.

It's my payback for spoiling Dave's surprise. Sorry bro!

And I think I've come up with the best idea on the hood. Fix the hood which will be fine, but they never look right, so paint it to handle that problem. Then sell that bad boy and buy a new hood. Order is really irrelevant.

In regards to upgrades, the only things that really need replacing would be the hood, quarter panel, and one headlight (which I'm already an 06), and radiator support, there isn't much room for upgrade at this time. We'll see what shakes out. Bumper is definitely easily fixable.

Thanks for the support... I've cursed quite a few times since then.

You didn't ruin it at all.. I knew something was up all day long.. She still got me really good even though I knew something was going on..

I was irritated about my windshield getting a huge crack in it today from a damn rock, I could only imagine how pissed you are right now. Let me know if you need any help putting it all back together.

Awww ****!

Sorry about the car Chris, as other's said, at least you are ok and hey it could have been much worse. Are you fixing it on your own, or insurance?

yes, I did use the F word many times quite loudly. and you are all very aware of how loud I get and none of you have seen me mad...

I'm going through insurance, but I'm doing everything I can to keep the cost down. So, I'm basically trying to spend as much of my deductible on parts instead of just a flat rate to someone.
