North Dallas cruise to Motorsport Ranch on May 17th
So I took the afternoon off to install my rear brake kit. Started around 1:30PM and noticed that I needed a 12-point socket for one of the nuts on the kit. Went to Lowe's and got the socket and a couple of breaker bars.
For the life of me I couldn't get the rear bolts to budge. Only after a couple hours of hammering the breaker bar did I get these things off. Then I started cutting the damn dust shield with my Dremel. Took me an hour to do one side and around 8 cutting wheels. Reinforced cutting wheel my ***. By this time my wife gets home and she says to me. Got to use the right tool for the right job. She proceeds to Home Depot and gets me a pair of shears. I knew I married her for a reason. Cuts through it like butter.
It's dark outside and theoretically, I just need to bleed the brakes and I'm good to go. I wanted to change out my front rotors and pads, but that's probably not going to happen. It looks to be just lead and follow laps on the track. Anyhow, hopefully I can get this done in the morning, bed the brakes quickly and meet up with you guys.

Wow, looks like you are in the same boat as I am except you had some more work... My brakes are done, new pads, new rotors, and bled each corner twice. The second time bleeding each caliper I hit each one with a rubber mallet and managed to get a few air bubbles to push out. This was my first time using the Motive pressure bleeder and I absolutely loved it!!!
Now time to go bed these babies ... it's going take several stops to heat up these 1400F pads!!!
Unless anything changes, see you guys in the morning!
