Shops that do corner balancing?

Anyone know a place that does corner weighing/balancing in the DFW area?

RUF guys said they don't have the special 'tool' needed to do alignments on a G35 and said I should go to dealer About to checkout LG Motorsports

Yeah, I just spoke to them and I think I've changed my mind on getting corner balanced!

They said for the average corvette it costs about $425, and the G should be the same

$425 was the average for corner balancing. Regular alignment was $225. Firestone, here I come! I'll just get an alignment and forgo the corner balancing

I was going to do corner balancing before a track event last year. After talking to the shop owner of Performance Speed Tech inside Motorsport Ranch I was convinced it wasn't worth it for an occasional racer.

I would just save the money and get a standard 4-wheel alignment. Let me know if your rear camber or rear toe settings are just outside of spec, I have a pair of toe/camber bolts leftover!

I think they are right, from searching online it seems corner balancing would be a waste of money unless I'm a pro racer

I will get a 4 wheel alignment and I'll let you know if I have camber problems in the rear! I am hoping I won't as I can just raise the height up till we can get the numbers back in spec.

(P.S. I also just ordered the slotted StopTech Aerorotors.. we'll see how these hold up compared to your PowerSlots. Guy at Phil's said they are actually the same company)

Yeah I heard the same about the StopTech's ... main reason I didn't go with them was 1) more expensive 2) much shorter warranty 3) no cryo option 4) they get rusty around the hat and vents

I've been sooooooooooooooooo happy with my setup so far but only time will tell how friendly these pads are to the rotors at street temps. My brake pedal feel is better than it was driving out of the showroom, much higher pedal initiation and MUCH better stopping power than the Hawk HPS I was using previously.

I'm anxiously waiting to see how your rotors hold up with these pads Good to hear that they are working great at street temps as well!


P.S. Stoptechs were like $40+ cheaper than the Powerslots ... savings of over $150, so I decided to give them a try, even though they are not cryo treated.

Yeah I think that is about the price of cryo treating them seperately. I guess we'll see both ways now although you have a less agressive pad that is probably more street friendly. I might need to re-bed pretty soon

Go to Dallas Frame and Alignment... you know better than that Adam!

Also, Grubbs only charged me $99 for a full alignment a while back (pre lowering). Not sure if they'll align a lowered car or not. Need to do that as soon as I get the ride back and new wheels/tires put on the damn thing.

Dallas Frame .....

I would go with Dallas Frame & Alignment also. They did all the work on my ride last month.

Grubbs told me they can't do anything lowered 2" or more - it won't go on their rack.
