What internet provider do you guys use?

I switched from Time Warner Cable to Verizon Fios and am pretty happy with it. Download speeds I can usually hit 1.85MB/sec in my torrent application when it's well seeded.

Anyone else have Fios?

I've had Verizon FiOS for a couple of years. So far so good. They just bumped my speed up from 1.5/5 to 5/20 (I think.... MB/sec, upload/download speed).

It is a little expensive. I pay about $90 a month for this, and their FiOS phone service. My company pays for mine, so it is not a big deal to me.

I have ATT Uverse, it's really great. A friend of mine told me that Verizon's increased their video compression because of the demand, so it may even have better HD quality.

I have Time Warner. My apt offers both Time Warner and AT&T U-verse, but i decided to go with Time Warner since AT&T U-verse requires a contract. With Time Warner I can go month to month and disconnect service at any time since i move just about every year or so. I've been happy with Time Warner for the past 3 years.

I will be getting AT&T U-Verse installed next Saturday.

I am getting a much better deal with U-Verse than I am getting with Time Warner..

With Time Warner I have..
-1 single tuner DVR
-HD channels
-4MB internet (according to speakeasy)

With U-Verse I am getting
-4 Tuner DVR
-Box for bedroom that controls the DVR
-HD Channels
-6MB internet
-Free AT&T Wi-Fi

I am paying $100 a month for Time Warner. I am going to be paying $104 a month for U-Verse. Much better product for cheaper! I cant wait to get it all installed this coming Saturday!!

Been on FIOS for 2.5 years ... Internet 5Mb/2Mb @$34.99/mo since it's bundled with FIOS TV. Also run the Home Media HD DVR so I can record and watch SD and HD shows on the main box and then the 2 other SD boxes in the house can play any of the SD recordings remotely. Total bill is about $109/mo.

Wow! I may have to look into their month to month. I pay almost exactly $79/month for basic cable and 10MB/1.5MB internet with Time Warner. I don't order movie channels since i have a kickass home theater and only watch movies (DVD's or HD-DVD's...Blu-Ray soon ). I don't have TV's in any of my other rooms and I don't watch much TV as i am on my computer most of the time. But if U-Verse is comparable in price and offers more services, i will definitely look into it. Thanks for the heads up.
