Hello all,
I just got my G35 sedan and I have had a lot of friends in the car scene for awhile now and wanted to know what everyone thought the 5 most important mods are. I would really like to drop it about an inch or so. My first mod is getting the ipod adapter and wiring it to the console. Exhaust is also something I am interested in. I am looking for something throaty but not annoying. I looked at the exhaust forum and couldnt pick a favorite. So anyway let me know what yall think.
Thanks

Depends on how much money you have and how much you wanna spend
Budget mods:
1. 5/16" MD Spacer
2. Lowering Springs
3. Sway Bars
4. Ztube/Intake
5. Exhaust (personal preference)
Not so budget oriented:
1. Twin Turbo's
2. Coilovers
3. Wheels and Good tires (am I the only one who wants to run Nitto NT-01's on the street? :P )
4. Sway Bars
5. 5/16" Spacer, Full Catback exhaust
Although with sedans exhausts are kinda a pain in the ***, I'm piecing mine together gradually for the best sound IMO. I really like my HKS muffler, but I'll prolly change the exhaust setup when I turbo the car so its more free flowing

For me personally, I would rank my basic mods in this order....
1. Stoptech brake kit
2. Nismo suspension kit + Richie STB
3. Wheels/Tires (light and sticky)
4. Plenum spacer + Z-tube/ K&N Filter
5. Stillen exhaust
The fact is, basic bolt-on mods are not going to yield much power. I found a lot more satisfaction in the handling and stopping mods. I think if you want performance, you should really consider some form of FI.

This car is a huge upgrade speed wise from last ride. So I am not in a big hurry to turbo it and all that jazz. I am relly interested in stopping and handling mods but i dont want to sacrifice the smooth ride that I have now...I am looking at maybe a 1" drop or so.
1) Built Motor and TT (1 off exhaust in included in this one too)
2) Huge @ss brakes (15" 12-piston)
3) Nice forged wheels
4) Good coilovers
5) Quad projector retro headlights with CCFL's
Others are coupe seats and a good stereo/DD setup.

Sway Bars
Good coilovers, adjustable tie rods and tie rod ends
Chassis reinforcement, solid mounts
MREV2
Osiris
Always my favorite thing to upgrade without thinking about it - tires.

It's called Google... or the search button... We'd try to help, and we sometimes can but Google is your best friend here... no waiting for a response, and nobody can mess with your head either...Originally Posted by wingchunflush

LOL i am a huge user of google. I am a member of another forum on a pretty different topic that has a lot of abbreviations and they had a newbie list so just asking.
