friday on my way home from work and to pick up my fiance from work i was nailed hard in the drivers side rear. dude in a left turn only tried to go straight as i was in a left turn/straight lane. the dude said he was in a straight only and i turned in front of him. im so PISSED as the police did nothing, gave me a "blue paper". You would figure they would know their intersections. I need to talk to a lawyer as the driver has told his insurance that i turned in front of him and i need to know a GREAT body shop. if you want more details please PM me...

 

That sucks bro. Didnt the intersection have signs of what lane is for what? How could the police give you a ticket?

 

not talking about the cops giving me a ticket but the other dude who hit me. his damage is on the pass side front, my damage like i said is on the drive side rear. the accident happened at the corner of valley view drive/sh 161 and riverside in irving. there are street signs clearly marking the lanes also there are road markings. there is a u-turn lane, left turn only, left turn/straight and a straight. he was on my left which puts him in the left turn only lane and put me in the left/straight lane. i made the left he went straight. i dont know how he figures that will stand up.

did you take pictures of the scene? that would help. if you can clearly identify exactly which lane your car was in. would be best to have some form of proof of your location
