Door lock actuators

I know there is a thread on using a universal actuator to fix this...has anyone local done this to your G? Both of mine are pretty much out and it's getting to be embarrassing not being able to open my doors w/ the remote...talk bout ghettofab...

are you able to fix your door problem yet? I have the same problem. The passenger door won't open. The remote can only open the driver side.

Yeah, I've done it. You got to be careful when you dremel the manual lock not to cut off too much. A lot of trial and error.

just follow the DIY. only hard part is fabricating the custom mount for the universal actuator. other than that its cake.

I have had an aftermarket actuator for a few months now. Just have not had the time to install it.

I really need to do that very soon. Manually unlocking my door is starting to drive me insane.

^ yeah mine was out for like 3 months.

it IS embarrassing using your key on such a hot ride....

do it ASAP!
