Most shops will turn rotors from anywhere $10-15 bucks...def recommend letting the guys maybe turn this into a brake meet and doing them. There's nothing better to turn to another person and ask why they like to waste money and also ask WHY THEY DON'T KNOW how to do something so simple..lol

I just ragged on an ex of mine pretty hard and it left a huge smile on my face...what?!? your current bf doesnt know how to change pads on a "corolla"?!?!...priceless

What brake pads SHOULDNT look like..

This is just cutting it too close for comfort... Also whoever did his pads before, put them on upside down. If he would have gone another week, he would be buying some new rotors..

Got his new pads in and everything worked like a champ. Now he doesnt have to worry about it anymore & he can go play..

Thanks for some good garage time luke.. I dont seem to get enough of it these days.. If you need anything else.. Let me know..

i don't know what the deal is, but this seems to be the time when a lot of people's brakes are going out. i'm starting to get the signature vibration from the front and some slight screeching, so i'm thinking it's time for the brakes and rotors to be changed.

jake - i saw that you are digging the Hawk HPS pads...where did you buy yours? are you running OEM rotors? i'm thinking about getting some new ones. suggestions? i'd also be interested in learning how to do this myself.

Got mine online...they are awesome - EBC is good too...just compare and see whats best for you. I am running OEM rotors but I dont get any vibration or anything like that . that could be warpage there...nothing a good turning cant fix.. Do you have brembos? I have a digital caliper to check if the rotors are still good. PM me and we can knock it out for VERY reasonable price..and you'll get ur hands dirty and see how easy it is.. I did Lukes in about 45 mins (thats cause O'Reilly gave him the wrong pads)
