I didn't realize this many ppl went to UTD and drive G's. I just got mine about 2 months ago and I am finishing my MS at UTD. I get my car detailed at rubber ducky on arapho and custer.

FYI, the awesome touchless at the Shell on the corner of McDermott & 75 was remodeled to a brush wash when they were bought by 7/11 recently. Pisses me off cause now I have to find a new place to get a quicky.

Lazaris, definitely opt for a good radar detector. Will save you lots in the future. Mine has literally paid for itself at least 20x.

i am still at utd, although I do not live on campus. I stay in an apartment. i would love to wash my car by hand, but just don't have the time too and don't think my apartment will allow it. i do recommend getting a radar it will definitely come in handy with utd cops. i have the escort 8500 x50 blue hardwired and sitting under my rear view mirror. i know people who also have the valentine one.

gonna be hard to find a deal... though I'm a big V1 fan. UTD Cops don't kid around... I went to UTD for a few years myself. Never finished as I had a 40hr a week job doing what I was going to school for, so I said F it. That was 2000 - 2002.

I'll be around UTD quite a bit in the near future due to the City of Richardson's Corporate Challenge. I'm in an 06 OB Coupe with a few mods. You'll know when you see me. Hope to see you out. I'll be playing Soccer there at those wonderful fields in about 6 weeks. No, I am not a regular soccer player, but I enjoy the game, though I'm too fat and slow for it. haha

i know that there are some overpasses as you get closer to dallas that cops will be waiting for you. Thankfully, my radar picked them up before they could tag me. And the speed limit is not 70 (The links below).

I opted for the escort x50 because I didn't want to pay the price for the valentine one. My friend got a good deal on craigslist, but I would check the serial numbers on them and check it through the valentine one website to make sure it is the latest. I believe the latest is 1.8 with POP2 and Euro settings. If yours is an older model you can upgrade, but it will cost you and the price varies with which model it is.

I hope this helps.

Once you pass I-20 I start watching for cops alot more. In general though, I've found I-45 to be pretty clean.
