blacking out my headlights....
I started it tonight, since i'm broke and dont have the $ to pay people. i'm the worst person to do this.. i have NO patience and i take shortcuts.. something you cant do on a project like this. needless to say, baked it for 14 mins at 220, and i couldnt get that **** off! so put it in for 5 more mins, and after breaking 2 of the little tabs got it off. but in the process, got a hairline fracture in the housing... ****........
pics to come of my fail... i guess if it comes out THAT bad i'll replace em with 06+ when i get $
PS I'm high on paint fumes.

i cant bake em back together yet... i cant get the inside of the housing to stay clean. this is by far nowhere near a good job, but from far away it looks great. this is a test fit on the car.. the headlights arent even put back together yet... we will see how this turns out.. i'm def gonna have to take my time the next time i do this, but oh well, as long as people dont judge when they come up close. haha!
what shoudl i use to keep the clear part clean on the inside, i keep on getting streaks.
nice - would like to check it out up close to see if its REALLY that bad (as you say)
I LOL'd @ you getting high on paint fumes...next time I see you and you have a mustache (BLACK), and your acting like a dumb@ss..I will know why..LOL

I'd use plastic polish on the inside along w/ a microfiber towel to keep streaks to a minimum.

well it's not bad from afar like i said.. but now i have a hairline crack in the black housing, and of course since i was taking stupid short cuts, i didnt sand it down. I am gonna redo it. I havent even started on the other headlight, so i still have a chance of making it good. luckily satin black is not hard to make look even. it'll really help my cars look out since i dont want an aftermarket front bumper (although giving more air to the intercooler would be nice)

hha man i'm trying to keep my body stock.. if anythig I will do the k2 bumper, but i'm pretty much deciding to keep it stock. it would look a lot more aggressive, but im gonna hold off for some suspension upgrades.
i bought plast-x... and some microfiber cloths. i'll hopefully finish the headlights today. got some work to do.

okay so left light done... and it was a disaster. basically, i cracked the housing (the part you paint black) in two areas, so it looks like **** now... on the car, you cant tell from far away, but it's all dirty on the inside, and after i cracked it, i gave up on it. put it together.
looks great from far away. now i need a new left headlight (eventually).
Starting on the right. taking my time with this one... now that i'm familiar with it.
you try, and you learn.. oh well. a new headlight should be around 100-150
