my straight up beliefs is that its a trend. Those shows are prolly tryin to get some exposure for having gay stuff... like the gossip girl show which i heard about through the radio then tv, etc, etc. then that adam lambert guy i think is jus riding his gayness to fame.. i hope it doesnt work cuz he's jus filling the stereotype of wat gay is to make some money! Its a trend.. and i think its gay
My friend came out to me recently and he told me he's known since the third grade. I don't know if it was trendy back then lol. But I'm not saying that it couldn't be a trend. It could be. Just sharing my experience with knowing a gay person. BTW he's not even feminine at all. I never saw it coming.
Once again, I think it's just more socially acceptable now, so people feel more comfortable "being themselves"..
I think a lot of people in entertainment experiment.. A lot more than we'd care to think. It'd ruin their opportunities to get roles if someone came out as gay. That "ruins the fantasy". For example, it was thought that both Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were BOTH gay, and they got married for publicity to deflect that idea.. Who knows.. But I know Tom Cruise would have lost a LOT of fans and wouldn't have been cast in a lot of "manly" roles if it was unbelieveable due to his sexual preference.
It's just not good for business. It's ok to "play" a gay role, just not ok to be gay in real life I think the "rule" is..
