Plenum / idle question
Alright guys, got a question for da DF Dub experts...the polished plenums, throttle body, plenum spacer are installed...got a CEL...figured..ok different air mixture etc...I do the the actual ECU reset/relearn and the idle goes to perfect 750 +/- 100 or so...BUT...as soon as I turn off the car and then turn it back on..the idle runs high again (bout 1k)...and then sooner or later it throws the CEL back on...I'm trying the whole disconnect battery deal but I dont think that's the solution.
I've ALREADY checked the board and the only thing I find are the same instructions on doing the reset...
ideas anyone..anyone???

Well you need to pull the code - if you post that we will have a better understanding of where the CEL is coming from. I can pull codes and have a cipher so we could at least look that up and get you pointed in the right direction.
We need that number though - CEL mean sh*t without the code.
BTW Pulling the battery cable doesnt work..Ive left mine off for 3 days ( I do that when I go out of town) and nothing changes except the radio..
Or any autoparts store can pull the code for ya.

Thanks for chimin in guys...well the update is...I pulled the battery off overnight and idle is now normal but now my heater was acting up...wdf...I'm guessing whenever we disconnected the plenums maybe air bubbles got trapped in the system...well, I will let everyone know in a few days what happens...thanks homies.

Thanks for the update..
yes JD to what Jake is saying...its just re-learning itself...mine did that as well and it was alitlte sluggish but takes a couple of days to re-learn everything..I know we got everything tightened down right so you shouldnt be having a problem.
Air can leak into the system when you disconnect that coolant hose on the bottom of the throttle body. There's a bleeder valve on the upper left side of the engine bay.
