my plano pd story:
back when I first started driving (1993 caddy deville) I was going to work, windows down enjoying my day when all the sudden the cop signals me to pull me over.
I pulled in the parking lot and waited for him to tell me what was wrong.
he said he had me on camera putting on my seatbelt. I'm like wtf really? my seat belt is on what are you talking about. he proceeded to give me a ticket, I was pissed so I said well I'll see you in court with that video.
got to the court and the police guards for the court house kept asking me "are you sure you want to go through with this you can save money by just paying the ticket" and I was like hell no the justice system will prevail! the cop showed up (buddies probably called him letting him know I wasn't backing down) and the court was in session.
we went through all the formalities of the court and when it was my turn I asked to see the video that had proof that I was putting on my seat belt.
the video started and had the cop behind and to the right of my car, then static... I was like WTF!! then it cut back in when the cop was leaving.
the prosecution attorney said he was sorry but he was a technology klutz and accidentally pressed record when he was trying to review this. we exchanged some words in the court room and they eventually found my guilty anyways, I guess its always the cops word over yours in the court house. so much for innocent until proven guilty. I just couldn't believe how petty the cop was going through with this.
afterwards the prosecution attorney came up to me and said he was really sorry but he also saw me on film and I was guilty, as I was leaving. I just told him to fck off for being a douche.
yes I was being a bit of a punkass kid but I did nothing wrong, the cop was just looking for something to pin on me and couldn't find it, or he was just having a bad day and trying to take it out on me, I dunno.
