After being in other rides with other coilover setups, the clunking/rattling is NOT what coilovers do (normally). This is frustrating for many of us and we have all tried various approaches to minimize the noise.

I would not be surprised if my coil was blown a while back. I never bothered to look at the piston to see if it was wet. I never would have thought that I could have blown a coilover that fast (especially since I don't track mine yet). As I recall, Ninja1 had 2 coils blown right out of the box. Sooooo.....
Check the nut that holds everything together at the top. It could be 1/8 of a turn loose and causing the noise.

I had that issue when I installed my stance coils

I didn't notice any play in the strut assembly that was making all the noise when I took it off. I didn't check the nut that throughly but I wasn't able to move it with my fingers.

the one thing I did notice was some residue on the piston, possibly fluid from the strut.

I'm dying to see these pictures dizzle is talkin about. just got a feeling there is some hotness in them

I posted a few of them in the gallery section. Didn't really think that pictures were something that "I did to my G today". More like what our G's did to my camera.

This little dumbass piece cost me 60 bucks... door hinge fell to pieces after Stephen pulled it out. Apparently my car may have had lambo doors in its past life.

And 60 bucks for that is kinda outrageous

Yeah I guess it could explain why my fenders were cut and I have the RHD battery cover and roof spoiler.

You got a pre-modded car, Jack? Didn't know that. At least it's custom now lol.

loved mine when I had it installed.. jerk and lag from manumatic mode was killed completely, and my radio didn't have to be turned on as high and my lights were brighter as well.. (just my personal experience)..

But his model really helps for ATs.. I highly recommend his grounding kit.
