[DFW] What have you done to your G Today?

Really? I think they are pretty good....but i guess i'm going to try 6k bulbs since everyone talks about how awesome they are.

Ive had both and the only difference i have seen is one extra lil tab around the rim where the bulb goes into the back of the housing for alignment on the d2s. I just snipped it off since the metal prongs hold it in already.

While 8k does look great, (I love the blue in my headlights) since I used to have 8k in my OEM projectors, the visibility at night did not compare to the 6k. I am glad I made the switch, since I can still keep a little bit of blue in my headlights and be able to see a bit better.
Johnny's idea of switching to a 5k is a good idea too, since that is more of just a pure white and your visibility at night will definitely be a lot better then the 8k. I'm starting to notice that it is the newer trend with some people swapping out HID's to go with the 5k now, instead of the standard 6k.
Edit: The only thing that I absolutely HATE doing on my car is changing out the lights, be it the 194's or the D2S bulbs. I hate jacking it up, taking off the wheel, and disconnecting some of the fender liner just to get access to the ballasts in the back. It is so annoying.
This is why lots of people would recommend you change out all the bulbs that you want when you're swapping out headlights, so you don't have to go through that headache of a process.

^you actually don't have to take off the wheel.. Just turn it all the way in the direction that you're on.. So if you're on the driver side, jack that side up and turn the wheel all the way to the left, that'll give you plenty of room to work.
Just something to help you out.

A couple of times. I got some free cheap 194's that kept burning out so I finally decided to stop being so cheap and just buy a set of good LED 194's for $20 or whatever they cost.
Then I didn't like the amber turn signal bulb because it makes the turn signal housing look yellow in direct sunlight, so I changed those out to some Silver Stars.
Then, originally when I changed out to OEM projectors, I had 8k HID D2S in there but realized the visibility was less then my friend's 6k HID so I switched to those.
Needless to say, I've done it a few times. And I get annoyed each time I do it.
And now, I'm on the hunt for some LED H1 fogs, since I never use my fogs anyway. So I know that once I find a set that I like, I'll be doing this all over again.
