Diff Oil with Royal Purple 75w-90

It was a good day! Although it being windy sucked.. Got oil all over everything.

Believe it or not, I haven't tried it out yet. Had to do the wifes car, and shower, by then it was dinner time.. That's what happens when you get old.. I'll let you know tomorrow. The oil in the tranny and diff actually looked really good though for almost 130k miles. Bright red, and as clean as could be.

The diff was actually the easiest. Just make sure you pull the fill plug before you pull the drain plug. Mine broke loose relatively easy, but I would hate to drain, and not be able to fill it back up because of not being able to get the fill plug out. All together for both the tranny and diff, I used about 5 quarts. A little over 3 for the tranny, and about 1.75 in the diff. I'm sure I spilled a half a quart too.

my diff was nasty when I changed it... looked like sludge came out first and then it was just really smelly, like sulfur. I changed my factory stuff out for AMSoil at about 42k.

also should have changed my tranny fluid sooner, I changed it at 47k and it was brown, looked like motor oil almost. still mad at myself for that.
