So on Saturday i was eating lunch with a buddy of mine at this restaurant in east plano and they were having a mini car show. (their first car show ever) So the manager comes up to me and asked me if that was my G35 in the parking lot. Then he asked me if i wouldn't mind been a part of the car show since they didn't have the turn out they were expecting. I had nothing big to do that afternoon so i said Yes. they had 10 different classes they were giving awards to. at the end of the show there were only 6 cars that participated and about 10 bikes.. At the end i got best 2000 model car award. all other cars were classic and lowrider.. lol I know it wasn't a big carshow and that it wasnt really winning since there was no one in my class to compete against, but its my first trophy and just to be asked to participate was realy cool..... they asked all of us back next saturday morning for out plaques and some breakfast.... this was the motivation i needed to start putting some serious money into the G and get it modded to compete against some of you guys at upcoming events.. lol .... just thought I'd share this with you guys... and please keep any negative comments to yourselfs. I know my car doesnt compare to some cars here in driver and i have done very little to it, but i had fun and deffenetly enjoyed it.....

It doesnt matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning. Grats Abraham. Dont doubt yourself, you have more mods than most jokes ever could have.

Swissvax makes a special cleaner and wax specifically for matte cars, and by all accounts it works great. A lot of the BMW M3 owners with Frozen Black and Gray (Bimmer's matte colors, but Jack's car is pretty much like Frozen Black) have used it, and reported no issues. It is pricey (Swissvax is uber expensive), but probably worth it if you go matte.... It was originally made for the Lambo matte paint.

After doing the rear brakes yesterday and while pushing the caliper back the fluid in the overflow tank was a slight bit above high. Today I went ahead and removed some fluid and topped it off with Dot 4 fluid. I did the same with the clutch reservoir. My clutch fluid looks almost like a light honey color versus a dark murky when i bought it. I will be going for a drive later on today and excited to see the difference with new rear pads and fresh diff fluid. I used some basic dot 4 synthetic but down the road I would like to flush it out and use Motul.

rear brakes only provide approximately 30% (if not less) of the braking power... which is why they're so much smaller. but the diff fluid should definitely make a nice difference.
