if i had spares these would've been sacrificed long ago for a suspension upgrade lol

-sigh- I don't feel like doing anything to the car with the oil consumption in the back of my mind. I need to demod it soon so I can take it to the dealer :/ (after the 9th)
Don't sweat it Phi... if you are still in the warranty period you can do the OC test thing they do and if it checks out (confirms) you will get a new long block. They may try to avoid it and say you need receipts for oil changes and all but I got it done without all that. Problem is, there is no guarantee the new engine wont burn. My replacement burns oil as much as the previous engine. Hopefully the non-syn oil will help. It doesn't really cause any harm to the motor, just annoying more than anything to have to constantly check and add as necessary. An oil catch can or 2 is probably a good idea for anyone with the issue.
Actually, bolt-on's shouldn't even be a concern because OC is a known issue with a tsb on the factory engine. But whatever makes you comfortable.

i don't even know what these "boots" are.. Someone with car knowledge explain?
yeah, i feel you..
see post above. They are made to attach to the tie rod end ball joints but to me dont serve a purpose at all.
