You don't have to disconnect the whole drive shaft do you or can you just pull of the bolt and push it any to hit the spots?

I removed the entire axle on both sides. Cleaned it with a wire brush and then re-greased it and re-installed.

You just need to take off that big ole nut that is on the hub and then the 6 remaining bolts and nuts that is on the opposing end. Then just slide the axle out. Rinse and repeat for the other side.

that's why you invest in a proper socket to remove said nut

So scraping off sound deadening is poopoo. Gonna get some dry ice and HAMMER THE ****.

I also removed about another good 30lbs of crap including the old xm module.

Finished painting my gauge pod, bought the primer/paint that matches my interior at the automotive paint store in my area....not cheap but it's great stuff. My last gauge w/b here on Tuesday, missed the FedEx delivery on Friday. I'll finally have the install done by Wed, Thurs at the latest....can't wait! Nice to know what's going on under my hood. The Zs have gauges, why not Infinitis?
