I will probably make a thread for the build. The block still needs to be bored and honed. I am getting some heads from chris which i will tear down and build up eventually. Other than that I am starting from scratch. I have a CD009 transmission lined up as well.

lol... what's up with people wanting 4x4 trucks as second vehicles...

Deemo - nice pickup. For a very cheap price, you can jack up the torsion bars up front and do an add-a-leaf in the rear and give you a nice little lift that really makes those trucks stand out. Nice pickup (pun intended)

And I'm assuming you meant CB when you said you liked the newer ones too and good choice... what's that mean? Is that what he picked or is picking up?

Yes I was talking to CB. He posted saying he's trying to get the newer Tahoe or yukons..

A body lift is in the works, and the rear shocks are shot so those will be replaced.

Cheap price indeed, this car is fully loaded too.. Very good truck for the money.

prob just the stock 4.0 Those make enough power as long as you do the gears in the rear end for the bigger tires.

I'd stay away from the body lifts if I were you. I don't know what kind of experence you have with them or what your purpose for the Tahoe is but they're worthless for anything other than looks. If you just want a couple of inches I'd go with a 2 or 3 inch suspension lift instead.. Just my 2 cents...
