Question!
I was about to buy a MREV2 to compliment my 5/16 spacer but a guy around here was telling me that it's not worth the money. He said to just go with one or the other but his reasoning doesn't make since and now I'm confussed. I've tried to find the numbers showing hp increase for just the spacer just the MREV2 and with both but I'm not having any luck. Knowledge bombs please..

you MT or AT?
i have read for a MT, it makes a big diff to have both installed, but if you had to choose between one, go with the spacer (more bang for the buck). i only have the spacer, i didnt think the MREV2 was worth spending the $300-$500.
dont know about AT.

^ i have a revup, i only have the spacer, i felt a good torque added with just the spacer.
ofcourse, the mrev would add more power, but i dont think its worth the appx $400, but thats me.

the overall consensus is that its not worth it buying the spacer unless you have the mrev on revup...words from tony himself at motordyne

outrageous amount of info on the forums about this...id try to score a mrev used

well ofcourse they gona say that. lol
why sell 1 item when you can sell 2.

ofcourse if you have the money get both thats def better, but def dont NEED to have the mrev to get any results out of the spacer.

If I remember right the spacer adds more
Hp not tq as ur not getting anything from them til High rpms. I don't even have a spacer anymore with the tall boy and I rely on my twins for torque.

nah spacer on revup will make almost no gains without the mrev

The spacer does not make power on the stock REVUP lower plenum. It can however make gains on the revup engine when when used on a non-revup plenum or MREV2.

If you have any one of the MREV series lower plenums, the spacer will indeed make good gains on the revup engine. It just that the spacer won't make gains on the stock revup lower plenum.

See this link here for additonal clarification of what the spacer will do on the MREV2 when its on a REVUP engine.
https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-...ev-spacer.html

And that is where this dyno came from:

So its not that it doesn't make gains on the REVUP engine. Its that it doesn't make gains on the REVUP lower plenum. Its an important distinction.
I hope this isn't too confusing.

Happy New Year!!!
Tony

Ha, that's just flat out wrong... sorry homey, but my Revup certainly noticed the spacer and loved every second of it. Obvious increase.

you may feel a little gain but you got the words from the horses mouth right above your post...mrev is the best mod hands down for revup guys. If you don't have one shoot yourself, should've been your first purchase

If I remember correctly MRev2 came out a while after I got my G brand new 6 years ago (ironically about 2 months and 6 days shy of the actual date). The spacer made a world of difference. It's hard to say that a minimum 10% airflow increase (bench tested) would net little gain. Either way, that's my 2 cents on the subject. The spacer will do some good, but the Mrev2 on top of it may not hurt. I have no personal experience on that particular aspect of the subject.

Finally ordered balljoints today and whiteline shock absorber bushings...wonder if it actually does something to replace the ones in the upper control arm
