[DFW] What have you done to your G Today?
$1400 for a rebuild on a used transmission. Are you just rebuilding the broken parts to get you back on the road or throwing in upgraded parts to take some abuse. New transmission will run you $2500 from the dealer and you might be able to find something around $2k-$2.2k if you dig around. If you are spending $1400 find out what all is being replaced and what sort of warranty it comes with. Maybe slap the transgo at this time to make it worth it. I am glad a factory fresh cd009 is only $1695 versus $2500 for AUTOTRAGIC.
Here is couple options I found on ebay. One is new and one is low milege but AWD and not sure if it will work for you. Do you have 2004 or 2004.5 and is it internal or external control unit. I would swing for rebuilt with performance parts and 3 yr warranty for $1400.
