3 weeks ago I replaced the Bank 1 exhaust camshaft position sensor due to SES light and bad idle. This week the 'G' died during rush hour on Dallas North Tollway (SES lights along with Slip, Rev and VDC Light). I topped of the brake fluid since I was at the minimum line and got the code pulled. The code was P0340 - Bank 1 Intake camshaft position sensor. I have 5 sensors in total since I have a rev up engine. 4 sensors for camshaft and 1 sensor for crank shaft.

I picked up the parts from Nissan of Mckinney with my discount and had my mechanic throw them in. It sucked having to spend $540 on all 5 sensors and labor but being stranded on the road is much worse. Having to spend money on diagnostics, tow truck and paying full price at a random mechanic is not something I wanted to do. Nissan and Infiniti is notorious for faulty camshaft position sensors. I went ahead and bit the bullet on all 5 sensors at once to save on labor instead of doing them one by one every month.

Next I need to do AC belt, rotors, pads, stainless lines, transmission fluid, differential fluid and front shocks. Trying to do all that while buying a house is not something for the faint of heart.

Car buying
I was wondering if it I should buy a g35 that has 143,012 miles on there? What could be the risk? Or would the car engine and everything be fine? I'm a noob to g35's.

I got a magnaflow 14815 welded in and sounds pretty good to me. No drone and nice deep sound.

I bought mine with more miles than that, but it was adult driven mostly highway. As with all the other G35, prepare to replace Bushings. Other than that, its an awesome car.
So good luck on your finding!

Problem with my manumatic not going into sport mode but not trans codes
Hey I am new to this forum so please bear with me. I have noticed lately that my car will not shift to manual mode and I also noticed when this happens the center gear indicator for drive will not light up but the manual light will. IS there some kind of test I can run to narrow down what is wrong with switching between manual mode and reg drive mode ??? Help

Still on but no more G35. Sold it to my good friend when Grubbs offered me $12k off a brand new Q40 with 17 miles. Driving a Q50 loaner with 383 miles. Dropped the Q40 off for oil change and tint.
