And guys, be reasonable. None of us can really AFFORD the GT-R or a $75,000 beamer.
be realistic and practical, no ferraris, etc.

Here's my top 2 picks under 40k (that would be my budget)

I know i know, you give up some luxury, blah blah, but those are two cars I still wanna own soon.

although this has caught my attention:

i just drove the STI the other day for the first time. bone stock, this was WAAAY more fun than my g. It might not have the same power, but just the response, the way the car feels, etc, it feels so solid and responsive. amaazing.

We are so on the same page, except I would have gone the sedan route...not too much of a fan of hatchbacks.

2010 Subrau Impreza WRX Sedan. Cheap fun, 4 doors, 265HP, AWD, so-so interior. All it takes is a single chip mod and you'll have plenty more HP!

i absolutely love the new gen of hatches that are coming out. i love the ms3 look, i love the STI hatch, ( iw ould have to go STI, just awesome bang for the buck), love that Focus RS i posted above.

a lotta my friends say the STI has a "younger" feel or a car they "woulda had in college", but then again these are my friends that really dont know how to push a car to the limit, they have em just to have a cool car. STI is a driving machine, it's a blast to drive and outta the box, it's a great car.

I wouldnt mind the sedan though either.

if i get this promo/raise, a gtr is close to me too, but that's still a hefty car payment in this economy... i could afford it, but do i want to? the maintenance alone is super HIGH!

i also love the CTS-V.

I dont wanna do euro. My friend has a 335, just traded it in today for a 2010 m3, i love em, and they're great cars, but i dunno what it is that keeps me away from them.
