Apparently they screwed people like me who purchase the x50 models that first came out. They're can't be sent in for an upgrade. I guess older board model.

 

I have an 8500x50 and i really like it

got it for $100 on a forum so that made it even better.

I live just west of DFW and most PD use Ka Or K band. PLENTLY of time to slow down as its all highway.

Sure its a little older, but there my garmin has a poi thing for redlight cameras and speed traps. i think POI factory is where I got that.

Over all I think the x50 is the best bang for the buck

Also, learn how to read the bands.

X band is usually a false alarm, but some still use it.

K band is the same. Very few false on K but still some


Set your escort to Expert mode. Most of the time K band at 24.xxx is a cop etc..

i used the Escort Passport 9500i, they are pretty good. but i wanted the 9500ci but they like $1500+.

i was lucky and got a passport excort sr7 for a *really* good deal of driver, and i love it. screen is very small and is mounted above my mirror. takes a bit to install, but is amazing. guessing the 9500 is almost the same
