haha you gotta remember, i was born in 83, being into the skate punk scene was pretty impressive by 95. This is also when offspring, blink, and rancid were just revolutionizing the next wave of "pop-punk".
it's over the next 12 years it got horribly exploited. but i know it'sa generation thing. i mean ****, people think fall out boy is punk rock now.

Ive been a Tool fan forever man. Ive studied his lyrics, i know why Maynard writes his songs, i study their unique music progression and theory. I can play almost every song on the guitar on his album 1000 Days..
BTW, did you get to see TOOL at Nokia Theatre last year.
.. I did

lol Trix...i was replying to b_moon, not you man...no need to get defensive
however, in response to your post anyways I can assure you that no one but maynard knows the meaning behind some of those songs....almost every one of their songs can be interpreted in 50 different ways.

Oh, and as for Maynard, i know that. I never said he songs could be accurately interpreted. All i know is Maynard is tricky. By reading his lyrics he could either be a religious saint, or a demonic satanist.. All i know is that he is a very deep thinker and his lyrics are like a mix Edgar Allan Poe with logic. Lol, if that makes sense. Creative, interesting, interpreting, but defiantly makes sense in more than one way.

you must have some bad@ss kids then sir! just a difference of opinion i guess...their guitar playing isn't anything too complex anyways (or so i have been told by friends who play - i definitely don't). the drumming...well that's a different story.
