Being a former DJ it's hard to listen to one type of music, so I have many. I have 5 stations preset in my XM/Sirius Satellite Radio. (80's, 90's, Backspin~Classic Rap, AREA, & BPM~Dance Music Channels) All great stations! Sometimes I'll even put it on Hair Nation or one of the Jazz stations depending on the mood.

Currently all I am focusing on is video mixing. I don't have anything that I've recorded, just been fooling around a bit. I dj'd at a few clubs in FT.Worth back in the early 90's as well as a few strip clubs. I'm trying to get back into the hobby, just got to devote some time to it again. Been playing around with Virtual DJ at a recent party providing music with a visual effect.

Just some small examples of music not very common here, so I thought to share it with others.

Cuba (fairly common):

South Africa:

Cape Verde

Andes Mountains- Peruvian:

These would be an acquired taste for most Americans, just as most groups mentioned here are to me. But it's all beautiful!

sorry, didn't subscribe to this thread so didn't see your question.

I'm using the Numark Stealth control that I picked up used from a friend, and all I currently have for speakers is an old home theater setup that I rigged up for playback. I have a 42" LCD that I've been displaying the videos on. If I get a little extra cash soon I will be investing in an amp and a few speakers & stands. Probably will be next year when I get that stuff.

^ Are you serious? I would have lost it after 30 miles at the most! No music = me on the side of the road, upside down, in a ditch.
