How NOT to do a paintjob.

My friend owns a car lot in Lewisville, he bought this S2K... Heres what it looks like

This is a candy paint gone horribly wrong. Whoever did this was definately an amateur.

really bad prep of the base coat is what it was. basically the base coat was shedding the later coats making it look like a bad vinyl job.

There is no prep of the basecoat unless for some reason they decided to clear the silver before spraying the candy which i doubt happened. You can spray candy in two ways, either in normal form which is true candy or candy concentrate which candy is mixed in clear. On this one it looks like it may have been an attempt at true candy. After the base is sprayed you let it sit for bout 30 mins. Then start spraying layers of candy. Looks like these guys didnt wait enough in between coats of candy so the silver wrinkled up. Not sure why the there are spots of silver showing

Well whatever happened, it turned out bad lol. Its on consignment now for 8.9k
