Clutch Isues
Ok so here is a heads up...and something that ive neoticed since i bought my car. The hydraulic clutch system on our cars does not age very well. The fluid that Nissan uses is quite suceptable to problems with heat. While it doesnt boil off, it will develop an orange colored sediment inside the clutch master and slave cylinders. The sediment over time will start to make the seals inside the master and slave not do thier jobs because it gets under the seals and keep them from seating properly.
To my knowledge there are only a couple ways to fix this issue. One is to replace the master and slave once they fail. OR if you can get to it soon enough, tear the master and slave apart, and clean them out.
Either way your going to need to run a better fluid, and i recomend a dot3 or dot4 Synthetic brake fluid like castrol or valvoline.
Before anyone asks....No, just flushing the system will not get rid of the sediment, i have tried.
Just F.Y.I.....for what its worth.

I have torn mine apart and cleaned them out...but i had a client come in last week who i had to replace both the master and slave.
the petal will hit the floor and never come back up.
i have an extra slave if someone needs it

hound is pretty much right....but you can tell if its getting worse. first the clutch will feel a little soft, and then(normally in traffic) you will have problems getting into gear. If you pay attention you can usually tell....if it feels like the problem is more pedal then shifter then its the clutch.
E-ban that might not actually be a clutch issue, it may be a pedal issue. Ive seen that too. To fix that all you have to do is take the clutch pedal assembly out, take it apart, lube the crap out of every joint/hinge on it, and put it back in. I use the super wamadine nissan silicone grease....but that stuff is like $60 a can. Im sure autozone has something that will work. If you need a hand shoot me a pm.
you can also adjust the petal by turning the dial bolt and then lock it back down. It only takes about a quarter of a turn. You'll want to mark it with a sharpee before turning for a reference point.
