lowering springs help

I wanna lower my car...but im not to sure where to start.

I know there are different drops and they vary by brand.

Im not sure where to start looking.

Is a 2" drop to much on 245/45/18s?

what about the shocks?? Do I need to change them out?

Im not new to the DIY. I just have never lowered my own car.

ive installed springs on many other peoples cars, I just have never done the research myself

2 inches will require some serious camber adjustments as well.

You go any more than an inch - and your going to need front and rear camber arms.

So that should narrow it down A WHOLE LOT... GL on your research..

ive been reading that even if you get say a .5" drop that after the coils set you will get like .75" or so

is that true with lower quality set ups only?

do you have the sport suspension?

what kind of drop are you looking for?

i would suggest that you decide how low you want to go before deciding on the springs/coils. the rest will more or less fall in place from there along with your budget.

I thk when he said coils he meant springs. But britt is right. If you go as low as 1.5" you will prob need front and rear camber kits. For a sedan a good starter drop is a z suspension set up. If you put lowering springs on stock struts they will wear out the struts faster than normal due to the lower the struts will be sitting.

I had the H&R springs and they were a little more aggressive than the 350Z springs and a better spring rate. The rear could have used a tad more of a drop, but I didn't mind all that much, never had rubbing issues even though all the discount tire guys were scared ha!

I have them for sale. They're not as cheap as the 350z springs, but I'll make you a good deal
