I drove in to the office this morning, drove HOME for lunch, and then BACK to the office again after lunch. My lowered G laughed at each and every puddle.
Does anyone even have a CAI? Seriously? I figured that everyone jumped off that bandwagon by this point...

As usual I'm one of the oddballs that has something on his car that most others don't. I have a Nismo CAI on my car and haven't had any issues with it. The reason why is that a good CAI comes with a bypass valve so you don't suck in any water. Any fears that anyone has should now be gone as long as you get a good one. I have physically seen these tested before during a trip to AEM. One end of the intake was submerged in a 5 gallon bucket filled with water, the other end was connected to the intake side of a running Acura RSX. They gave the car gas a few times and then took it up to 6000rpm for about 20 seconds. The water just passed through the bypass valve and caused no harm to the motor at all. That was enough to convince me.
As usual I research every part that I put on any of my cars, and it's well worth it compared to the random opinions you may encounter.
