I used to have this mentality for awhile, but then I just realized it was my own deep jealousy towards the younger generation being able to afford the stuff that I always wanted when I was a kid.

I held resentment towards it since I was jealous about it, but after taking a step back, I realized that they're one of the more "lucky ones" (for lack of a better word) to be able to afford / own / drive the same nice car that I own.

For me, instead of resenting the younger generation that owns the same car, I decided to turn around and just be happy for them. There isn't any point in being jealous or resenting anyone. It doesn't make me happy in the end and it certainly doesn't create opportunities to meet / make new friends.

ignorance and jealousy will always be there.

I dont think people understand that because your priorities differ from theirs that you are wrong.

I don't know who's side you guys are on but being young myself and not have gone to college and still having my car. I am on the kids side of this. The "older" people in that thread have no proof that the kid is liing about anything.

That thread is so dumb. Some young people have Z/Gs and their parents pay for their cars and mods. So what, who cares. I'm not jealous of young kids who do this just because my parents couldn't afford to do it or even if they had money would not have let me spend money on something like that when I was younger. While I think its proper for us to encourage young people to make wiser decisions when it comes to spending the majority of their income on their car while living on their parents dime, in the end its their money no reason to be upset about it.

I have to agree here. Different opinions and different views. Everyone has them. Those guys are brutal there anyway

There will always be rich kids, and kids that live with their parents that spend every dime of their paycheck on modding and say that they 'built their own car'. I don't understand why people care though, outside of jealousy.

I dont even flinch when I see a teen in a 350z. Honestly it is nothing. I have seen teens driving vipers, bentley, porsches, ect. Locally we have an asian teen that come to our g meets. He has owned a R34 GTR, Audi S5, Porsche 911, Bentley GT, S15 with LS2 swap, C63 AMG, and is now rocking a Lambo. (All in the past 2 years I have lived here) Think he just had his 21st bday acouple months ago.

A Z/G is nothing more an economy sports car.

I will never understand why people post in that thread. You will never change their mind. I steer clear of it because I know I'm a perfect target.
