Rob do you think your second gen cluster might work on a 6MT?

I didn't see if you tried it since you did say the cluster came from a 6MT and it would not be looking for that Park signal

that's a good point, I should try it in a 6MT.. I still think it is probably something that has to deal with the push button start or intelligent key system. two things my car doesn't have and every g37 has..

The 06+ sedan has that system, so that might help

Any updates?
That is one one thing I like about the newer models is the nice cluster they have.
The 06 cluster looks like its from 1999, I hate it.
I would pay for a plug and play harnness for an 06 g35x i-key.

Sad to see this project hang...

Would you consider doing this project if you were being compensated ?

Like I stated Rob has moved into a new house and pretty much put this stuff on the back-burner so probably nothing anytime soon. he doesnt login to the forum much anymore.

Anyone would do the project if being compensated but like Rob stated something is hanging it up that isnt allowing the start of the car....its def pointing towards the push button start.

yeah I have a feeling it has to deal with the intelli-key and/or security features on the new cluster and my older car not having those features.
