hmmm give a man a fish and feed him for a day or teach a man to fish and feed him for life...

I like the idea of learning to tune, it would save me money in the long run. It's just a bit scary knowing that I might blow up my engine if I suck at it.

yes rob already has the tuning license..however since his wreck now its been put on the back burner and somethings with GSS Speed Shop are currently on the burner as well with some issues between GSS and LG Motorsports shop. Owner of GSS had to go back over to his dads shop (LG MOTORSPORTS) for alittle while to help out.

03' track... Soon to be race car.
Yeah, louis (gss) and I are going to tune my car when funds and shop issues clear up. So its going to be one more option. I sat and watched him tune a Z06 the other day....this guy is sick!

So I'm about to get Osiris like now... should I get the standard or tuner version? Almost done with NA mods... just HFCs and a spacer and not much else I can do without going FI... but I'm not gonna do that for awhile and get a built block when I do.

should be fine with standard version, you can always upgrade when you need to.

I'm not real sure how it works. Looks like if I get the standard I tell them what mods I have and they send me a flash based on that. Then after I add the HFCs and spacer I can do it again. I think a dyno only comes into play if I take it to a tuner?

I think that's right. I called them and if I drive to Austin it would be 650 for the dyno tune...Reflash plus the hourly dyno charge. Does AWD in the Dallas area have the UpRev License?

Is that 650 on top of the $500 to buy? Is it really much better to go that route than just use the eTune I get? I'm about to pull the trigger on this now I'm getting confused.

When I was talking to them they said 300 for the flash service not Osiris standard but then you get the dyno tune to tune specific to your car and that equals to 650. If AWD does the same thing we could just go up there and not have to pay 500 for the standard plus the dyno time. We could just do 300 for the flash license and then pay for dyno time

OK. Problem with that though is it's for 1 tune. Next time around you gotta pay it all again. With the standard you get 3 eTunes... then $50 a tune after that. If you really want a dyno tune you pay the dyno time either way. I think I'll wait to talk to them before hitting the buy confirm. Not sure what to do on the diff maps. Doesn't seem to really be necessary in my mind to have a bunch of diff maps.
