UpRev - Osiris
I think a tune will get me the most power cheapest for now. The other parts are another grand and I'm putting wheels up higher on the priority list so it may be a few months for that. Don't want to wait that long! Feel like I'm running lean and just impatient to get it proper.
OK. Problem with that though is it's for 1 tune. Next time around you gotta pay it all again. With the standard you get 3 eTunes... then $50 a tune after that. If you really want a dyno tune you pay the dyno time either way. I think I'll wait to talk to them before hitting the buy confirm. Not sure what to do on the diff maps. Doesn't seem to really be necessary in my mind to have a bunch of diff maps.
Don't know the full extent of your set up, but I assume NA from your signature. The multiple maps do come in handy, in your case you could set up a valet map to where they wouldnt be able to take your car above 3k rpms.
For those with boost, the multiple maps is a great idea, not only for the valet mode to where the valet can't blow your engine in the parking lot seeing what your force-fed G can do... but also, if you have a boost controler you can set different maps for different levels of boost. In my case I have one on the wastegate spring at roughly 4.5 psi for daily driving and a high octane tune at 10 psi. The valet mode still remains my biggest draw though since I've still got a stock block and blowing my engine is always in the back of my mind. In your case, if you were worried about a specific driver of your car joyriding, you can give them the governed map and poof, peace of mind.
Cool... I was wondering how usable the Osiris standard would be down the road with a built engine or boost. My upgrade path is built before boost but I want something that will go the distance but not be total overkill for now like utec or haltech. Seems like it's the best option for now.
Thanks for the info!
