Serpentine Belts on G

Hey guys, does anyone know why the hell there are 2 different sizes for the G? I pull up a 37 1/8" and a 37 7/8" for one of the belts...any way of knowing prior to taking it off?

Thanks,
JD

everything
The G and Z have different size belts but they are a lot more of a difference than 3/4"

Only way of knowing before removing is to measure with a fabric tape measure.. but who the he11 wants to do that?

If they arent that worn it will say the part number on the belt. Just replaced mine and I could still read both part numbers on the old belts.

JD if you go to Autozone or orielys just tell them 04 g35 coupe and there is only 1 choice for serpentine and 1 for AC belt.

I do as well.

We should have a tech day and take care of some of this as a group.

Thumbs up

Hell ya! we can do 3 cars at a time - I have enough jack stands, 14mm goosneck wrenches and 12mm sockets and wratchets.. I need to make some ramps cause here lately all the G's have been too low... I blame Stephen and Chris for that.. lol

if you all cant decide on a date? - let me know - bring a 12 pack of DOS XX's...and it will get done..
